The older generation, with firmly established systems, may only accept and align with new concepts. Younger individuals, on the other hand, can develop into and embody new ideas, extending them into the culture to shape the course of humanity.
Older individuals, who already hold positions of power will embrace the concept of servant leadership and align themselves with it, but the younger generation can be made to grow as servant leaders so they can inaugurate that culture for generations.
We cannot, however, produce such leaders in a sustainable way by accident. A system must be put in place for nurturing a new breed.
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
We must be more intentional in instilling strong value systems.
