Without a question, the big corporations are far more equipped to address global issues, but where does that leave the small businesses?
Since the small businesses only operate within a limited geography, we may argue that their impact is too small to affect the globe. I have a different observation.
Small businesses are more connected to their local communities hence able to address issues at the grassroots level.
Addressing global issues at the grassroots level ensures that the problems are avoided in the first place as small businesses integrate sustainable practices in their operation, from the ground up.
Climate change for instance, is a worldwide problem, but environmental challenges begin at the local level.
If only we could build back better, from the ground up, a global level shift is possible.
